1. Is an API Key really not required?
Yes. Polyglance includes free Microsoft and Google translation endpoints out-of-the-box. If you prefer LLMs such as DeepSeek, OpenAI, or Claude, you can configure your custom API Key and Base URL in Settings.
2. How does offline OCR work? Is it private?
On macOS, Polyglance calls Apple Vision framework. On Windows, it uses Windows Media OCR. OCR runs 100% locally on your machine without network uploads.
3. How to enable launch on startup?
Right-click the menubar/tray icon, open Preferences, and toggle "Launch at Login".
4. How to resolve shortcut conflicts?
You can re-record and customize every global shortcut in Preferences → Shortcuts.
